1. Information We Do Not Collect

CharCount.tools is a client-side tool. All text processing happens in your browser. We do not:

• •Collect, store, or transmit any text you enter into the character counter
• •Require you to create an account or provide personal information
• •Track your individual usage of the tool
• •Sell or share any data with third parties

The text you type into CharCount.tools never leaves your device.

2. Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how the site is used and how quickly it loads. These are privacy-focused, cookieless analytics: they record aggregate page views, referrers, browser type and performance timings, and do not set cookies or build a profile of you. If you use an ad blocker or privacy browser extension, it may block these entirely — this does not affect your ability to use the tool.

3. Cookies

We use essential cookies required for the site to function. We also display advertising through Google AdSense, and third-party vendors including Google use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices. Opting out does not remove ads — it means the ads you see are less likely to be tailored to you.

4. Third-Party Services

CharCount.tools is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect standard server logs (such as IP addresses and access times) as part of normal web hosting operations. These logs are subject to Vercel's own privacy policy and are not used by us for tracking or marketing purposes. We also use Google AdSense to display advertising; Google's handling of the data it collects is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

5. Children's Privacy

CharCount.tools is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
